To check if your profile is public or change the privacy settings:

1. Log on to facebook.
2. Go to the top of the page and hover over settings.
3. In the drop down select privacy settings.
4. On the privacy settings page navigate to profile (at the very top).
5. Here you can change which groups can see which parts of your profile with the dropdowns. The most secure setting is "only friends".
