Online Shopping

When shopping online you risk the theft of your credit card details and your virtual identity.

Here are ways to avoid becoming a victim of fraud whilst shopping online.

  1. Deal with well recognized websites and sellers.
  2. Make sure that the website still works under a https:// address. All websites show a http:// address in the web browser but if you add an s to the end it means the website is secure. The "s" stands for secure.
  3. Keep an eye out for the padlock symbol in the bottom right hand corner of your web browser window. The padlock indicates that the website is secure.
